APS College celebrates Kannada Rajyotsava with yellow and red dresses

Bengaluru, Nov. 19: This time, Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated with great pomp and show at APS College of Commerce, Gyan Degula Campus, N.R. Colony, in the city. Students, staff and the administration celebrated with yellow and red dresses, which are symbolic of the Kannada flag.
Following the elegant dress code of colors, they brought a special elegance, harmony and colorful atmosphere to the program. It reflected the true Kannada spirit of “Be wherever you are, be whatever you are – always be a Kannada”. The campus was filled with festive enthusiasm expressing the solemn pride in the rich heritage and culture of Karnataka.
The chief guests of the program were Kalashri Dr. Jayashree Aravind, Sree Santhavani Sudhakar and the team who sang Kannada songs and entertained. They sang Kannada Rajyotsava songs, increasing the spirit of devotion and patriotism.
Dr. Jayashree Aravind recalled his six-decade-long association with APS institutions and appreciated the institution’s continuous contribution in the field of education and culture. He recalled the role of APS institutions in nurturing his guru, the renowned artist of Karnataka’s folk music, C. R. Ashwath.
Speaking, APS Institutions Chairman CA. Dr. Vishnu Bharat Alampalli said, “In Kannada Nadu, especially in Bangalore It is a true blessing to be born. Bangalore is the “heaven of the earth”. He said that the contribution of Alur Venkataraya, who was responsible for the creation of Karnataka, is immense.
The program was attended by the General Secretary of the organization, Prof. A. Prakash, Principal Paramesh – APS College of Commerce, Bhagyalakshmi and others.
